ACOUSTIC
PERFORMANCE
Under strict
laboratory testing conditions glazed partitions would be expected to
achieve the following acoustic performance:-
10mm toughened
glass (1000Hz to 3150Hz) 31db (RW)
10.8mm laminated
glass (1000Hz to 3150Hz) 34db (RW)
12mm toughened
glass (1000Hz to 3150Hz) 32db (RW)
12.8mm laminated
glass (1000Hz to 3150Hz) 37db (RW)
10mm double glazed
(1000Hz to 3150Hz) 40db (RW)
The acoustic
performance of installed systems will vary. This is due to the
differing construction methods used in surrounding elements such as
floors, walls and ceilings. If a specific acoustic performance
is required please discuss this with our technical staff.
MANIFESTATION
We can
supply manifestation for glazed partitions and doors to satisfy the
statutory requirements contained within Building Regulations Document
M. Approved Document M states that manifestation should be
located between 850mm-1000mm and 1400mm-1600mm from the floor height,
comprising solid bands or a decorative feature or split bands of 50mm
each.
